Derek's interest in creativity began early quite on. Studying 
art history and a wide-range of traditional visual arts mediums
throughout his education process. This initiated his career path
towards a role within the visual communications world.

In 2002, Derek enrolled at Focal Point The Visual Arts Learning
Centre to study various aspects of photography. He then graduated
from the Advertising and Graphic Art Design program at Langara
College. Derek strives to learn about all aspects of graphic design
and media. He recently furthered his knowledge by studying web
design at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design.
